My research goals

Together with my research collaborators, I investigate interdisciplinary research problems in human factors engineering with a view to designing and engineering real world systems that impact our society in profound ways – the broad research and application areas our work investigates include healthcare systems, future work systems, accessibility and usability and sustainable development. Our mission is to further our understanding of how people interact with technologies and work systems, and how design can make systems safe, accessible, healthy and productive. Our collaborative research group promotes values such as empathy, respect, and teamwork, and nurtures collaboration among members from different backgrounds, all working together to achieve a common goal.

Research Values

  • Pursuit of Excellence
I and my collaborators are committed to achieving the highest standards in our research and innovation. Our goal is to consistently push boundaries and produce meaningful results that advance human factors engineering and positively impact the systems we study.
  • Respect for Scientific Discovery
We value curiosity and the lifelong pursuit of knowledge. We respect the scientific process, ensuring integrity and rigor in our research, and avoid shortcuts to maintain the credibility and depth of our discoveries.
  • Commitment to Society
Our work is grounded in a deep sense of responsibility to society. We aim to create solutions that improve lives in meaningful ways, always striving to make a positive and lasting impact while maintaining humility, empathy, and respect for communities we serve.
  • Learning and Adaptation
We understand that research is a dynamic and ongoing process. We embrace the need for continuous learning and adaptability, ensuring that we grow from each challenge and incorporate new insights into our evolving approach to problem-solving.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration
We recognize that addressing complex challenges requires collaboration across various fields. By fostering a multidisciplinary approach, we continuously learn diverse perspectives and expertise to develop comprehensive, innovative solutions that benefit both science and society.
“Whatever you do, strive to do it so well that no human living and no human dead and no human yet to be born could do it any better.”  ― Benjamin Elijah Mays
